Hmmm…here’s something I never realized before. It might just be the fantastic number of those pay-day loan places (the ones that charge 300%+ interest) are pretty much a South Carolina phenomenon.

I’m pretty sure I have a couple of close relatives contributing to the growth in that industry. Good job, guys!

This seems a reasonable thing to do since the post is half a year old and has produced no comments at all. In fact, I would expect this note to never even be seen by eyes of mortal man.

I’d like to bring your attention to the sidebar, where I have added a link to my Tabblo account and my Flickr account.

Both are photo sharing sites. I’ll be using Flickr for the one-off pictures that I take which I feel deserve sharing. Tabblo is more oriented around story-telling, so that’s what I’ll use it for.

For the record, I prefer Tabblo. It’s way cool.

I’ve finally started on the path of having robot servants perform all the unpleasant bits of my life for me while I concentrate on the things that are interesting (like kissing and stuff).

And I’ve given some thought to the possibility of a lightning strike giving it an evil intelligence, but I’m not worried. I think I can take it. It’s pretty low to the ground and as long as I don’t turn into a spec of dirt, it’s weapons are powerless against me.

In a bit of seriousness (as though robot uprisings aren’t serious!), I’d like to mention packaging. I’d never read before how Apple-like iRobot is (down to having “Designed by iRobot in Massachusetts printed on the bottom of the robot). The Roomba box was very, very similar to the box my Powerbook came in. I especially liked the three little booklets in the front of the box and I was very entertained that the manual is titled “Roomba Knowledge”. It’s very slick and since I didn’t know about it before hand, I was pleasantly surprised.
