I’ve learned something about myself over the past couple of weeks. It turns out that I’m the sort of person who yells at the radio. I know. I was surprised too.

Driving to work this morning, Morning Edition played a segment with a telecom industry shill spouting off about net neutrality. He said that the worries of the pro-neutral crowd were unfounded, despite the fact the CEO of Bellsouth has publically stated that he thinks he should get to charge the likes of Google and Ebay multiple times. At this point, I started screaming at the radio.

The other day, they played a story about people who graduate from college and go on to work unpaid internships. They discussed how the companies “hiring” them were extorting them somehow. But, of course, these college grads chose to work for nothing. I yelled this point to all of the nobodies in my car.

So I’m one of those people. I’m troubled by this. To anyone driving beside me, wondering what the lunatic is screaming about today…I’m sorry. My bad.

In preparation for their new album, Barenaked Ladies Are Me, the BNL have put up the guitar, keyboard, drum, and vocal tracks from one of their new songs. According to the blog post, they don’t care what you do with them as long as you don’t sell it.

So, I decided to throw them together in GarageBand to create a single track, suitable for iPod play. In case you don’t want to go through all the effort (fortunately, GarageBand makes such things very simple), I thought I’d be kind and put it up on the ol’ blog.
