From reddit, I’m reading an article about the gullability of Americans.
It references Clemson’s Dr. Judy Woods, someone who I’ve heard some great stories about. Twenty seconds of searching couldn’t find the original paper (though I did find a summary of it on Tripod, but I refuse to link to Tripod), but since I don’t think I’d understand it anyway, I don’t care so much.

Her name came up in a CNN article a few weeks back and I did some poking around. She likes to state that jet fuel does not burn at a high enough temperature to melt steel, which might sound suspicious at first, but it doesn’t need to melt it. You heat steel up, it weakens. She is thinking that steel doesn’t collapse until it’s liquid. I knew she didn’t know jack about strength of materials.
